Fall is here and so departs our warm, sunny weather. Unlike most of your body, there aren't any garments that can protect your lips from the upcoming cold weather. Thankfully, some natural foods can make your lips more plump and pinker.

Here are some things you can do to keep your lips looking healthy and colorful:

  • Drink water throughout the day. It's freezing out and that makes you less thirsty. Whether you're thirsty or not, your body needs its daily intake of water, which is usually eight to nine glasses of water. Meeting your daily hydration requirements will keep your lips hydrated.

  • Don't lick your lips. Saliva contains amylase which destroys the natural chemical barrier your lips constantly create to protect themselves.

  • Apply a pomegranate and milk cream paste. Crush pomegranate seeds and mix with milk cream to create a paste. Apply the paste regularly to your lips and your lips will naturally become redder and fuller on their own.

  • Apply cucumber juice. Take a fresh slice of cucumber and rub it over your lips for five minutes every morning. Your lips will absorb the cucumber's juice, gradually turning them pinker.

  • Apply coconut oil. Applying coconut oil directly to your lips hydrates them. Repeat once a week to keep your lips soft.

  • Apply clove oil. Applying clove oil directly to your lips makes them plumper and more luscious. Unlike other natural remedies, clove oil's effects are almost instantaneous.

Don't let your lips suffer from the cold! Drink the recommended amount of water daily to keep them healthy and hydrated. For more luscious, plump, and pinker lips, apply these home remedies to your lips regularly.
